What is the Figexpo?

The figexpo is a miniature showcase event that promotes the miniature painter community. It is an open exposition that every painter of all levels can participate in and display their achievements.

How does it work?

Every participant create a small exposition of their own pieces, there is no limit or rules about the models, it can be from any company, any size and any number. Just be reasonable, we don't have unlimited space! If you are not sure about the size of your exposition, please contact us and we will help you out. You have to choose in what category you want to expose. Two options here, Velvet gloves for beginner/intermediate and Iron Hands for intermediate/expert. Once your exposition is set up, you are free to discuss with other participants, judges, attend seminars, participate in painting events, etc. During the afternoon, judges will pass by and rate your exposition according to pre-established standards and you will be awarded a bronze, silver or gold medal.

Why an open exposition?

Because we want to promote the community. The podium style competition has some positives interest but in the figexpo we want to bring all levels of painters to be part of the event. In an open exposition you only compete against yourself and that's the main difference. The presence of big names in the modeling and painting community doesn't affect your results because you will be judged according to standards and not the quality of the other models in the show. So the challenge here is if you win a silver medal this year, try to improve yourself by talking with judges, friends, other participants and go for the gold the next year! It is totally up to you! So with this mentality whatever your level of painting, beginner or expert, there are no reason not to participate, just enjoy the weekend talking, learning and sharing your hobby with other people with the same interests and passion!
